About The Merger
On the 9th of January 2020, BUA Cement was listed at a market cap of 1.2trillion Naira (USD3.3billiion) on the Nigerian Stock Exchange (now Nigeria Exchange Group) after a merger of BUA Group's two Cement subsidiaries - CCNN and Obu Cement.
Why The Merger
CCCN and Obu Cement (the “Merging Entities”) were keen to strengthening the positioning of both companies in the Nigerian cement industry. So, a single entity that will benefit from consolidated capacity and expanded growth prospects which will ultimately maximize value for all key stakeholders, particularly shareholders was formed.
